POPULAR CAREERS

This section of The Student/Athlete Resource Center offers information about 100 of the most popular careers currently being offered as undergraduate majors. High school students are often asked to select a college major before they even know what types of careers are available. By reviewing the list of careers in this section, you will gain a better idea about the world of work.

The careers are grouped into broad categories. Simply click on those that interest you. Each career outline includes a complete description of the work performed and lists the level of General Educational Development, aptitudes, temperaments, and the career's relationship to Data, People, and Things. You can learn more about these job attributes by reviewing Assessing Your Vocational Assets.

If you are not planning on attending college right away; don't find a particularly interesting career; prefer to go to work right after high school or attend a technical program, consider assessing your vocational assets by reviewing Assessing Your Vocational Assets and sending your profile to us at Personal Vocational Assets which you can use to compare your assets with those required by the career.
