Flexibility and Range of Motion Resources

Performing appropriate stretches will enhance your performance and help prevent injuries. Improving your flexibility involves three separate activities.  The first is warming up.  Before you stretch, you need to warm up your joints.

After you are warmed up, then you can stretch.

There are a variety of theories on stretching.  We prefer the "Hold-Relax" theory because it requires less energy and is more effective in lengthening your muscles.
